Asda Recurring Slots
Asda has temporarily stopped issuing new delivery passes while demand is high during the pandemic, but usually it costs £5 a month or £55 for the year. A six month pass would cost £35. An email sent to Terrance from Asda said: “Sorry, we are unable to fulfil recurring slot orders from 19th December - 2nd January. “If any of your recurring slots fall on these days, you will not be able to use them. “As a Delivery Pass customer, you can still book a free non-recurring Christmas slot on these dates.”.
© Rui Vieira/PA Wire Asda's new delivery pass gives select customers priority access to slotsIt's no secret that shoppers attempting to secure online delivery slots from UK supermarkets during lockdown have struggled to do so - leaving many of the most vulnerable without essentials as they are unable to leave their homes.
Despite the supermarket giant increasing the number of delivery slots available, Asda customers have been amongst those affected, and have faced lengthy online queues in a battle to secure themselves a spot.
Now the supermarket has taken matters in its own hands, and has introduced a priority pass specifically for the most vulnerable - making it easier for those who struggle most to secure themselves a delivery slot ahead of more able customers.
A statement on Asda's social media sites reads: 'The government has identified a number of people who are extremely vulnerable during this time.
'They have now shared this information with us and we’ll be doing all we can to make sure these customers get what they need while they stay safe at home.
'We will provide them with a free Asda Priority Pass, which gives them access to new home delivery slots, the option to book a recurring delivery slot for peace of mind, and free delivery. We have begun reaching out to these customers to let them know what to do next.'
What is a recurring top-up and how can I set one up?
A recurring top-up is where we take money directly from your registered credit or debit card without you having to worry about it.
There are 2 ways to do this: -
- Set up a recurring top-up to be taken every 7, 10, 14, or 30 days or you can set it for a specific date between the 1st and 28th of each month. You decide the top-up amount (between £5 and £50) and we do all the hard work for you. You can even pair this with one of our 30-day recurring bundles to take all the pain out of topping up and buying bundles! Try our bundle calculator to find the most suitable bundle for you.
